Volunteers Needed For Testing E-Mail Election Web Site
Volunteers Needed For Testing E-Mail Election Web Site -- Posted by Daniel Evjen on 07-17-04 12:40
Greetings,
Our organization is currently testing new Internet software for voting
online. This software is not designed for national presidential
elections even though it could handle such elections. Rather it
should be considered for small local polling or elections such as town
mayor, class president, cheerleader, PTA chairperson, church council
candidates, astronomy club leader, or any kind of election you like.
It could be a great aid for newspaper and radio station polling or
contests as well.
We are looking for volunteers to try out our new web site and report
back their findings to us. If you have some spare time we would
appreciate your assistance. There is nothing to download or install.
Everything you need is located at our web link at:
http://emailelection.com/
Basically, you will need to input a list of e-mail addresses of your
voters. Next, you would need to compose an e-mail that provides
information to them about the election. Also you will need to design
the election ballot using our web site. Finally, you will need to set
a date and time for your election to begin and end.
On election day all of the e-mails will be sent out to all the people
on your e-mail address list. On each e-mail there will be a special
web link that will send the voter over to their election ballot. After
the voter has made their choices and submitted their ballot, a menu
will be displayed allowing them to view the current voting results,
or view their voting ballot choices, or view all the voting ballots.
If a paper trail is needed, any or all of the ballots can be printed
out. Any of the ballots displayed or printed out will contain no
personal information so privacy is always maintained.
If you decide to become a software tester, contact us through the
e-mail feedback link found at the bottom of our web site. Again our web
site is located at the bottom of this message.
Sincerely,
--
