University of Waterloo

University of Waterloo -- Posted by Adam on 10-06-04 08:37

Does anyone know anything about the University of Waterloo in Canada
distance learning degrees? I am interested in their 3 year Bachelor of
General Science.

I know they have a world class computer science program. They are the
supplier of many of the engineers and designers for the people who brought
us the Blackberry.

As many other Universities in Canada already have been doing for a century,
distance learning has been ongoing over the internet for sometime.

Does anyone know how difficult the University of Waterloo's general
science Bachelors degree is? Would it be harder than the University of
Ottawa since I know their standard?

Why not ask them?

Ottawa is not known much for its Computer Sciences, and would be no where
near the quality of Waterloo, as Waterloo has a leading edge computer
program. If you want the best go to Waterloo, if you want to learn to be a
bureaucrat, go to Ottawa.

x-no-archive: yes

I hear Carleton University http://www.carleton.ca is well known for
their Computer Sciences. As for the University of Ottawa, I don't know
much about their CompSci program. I'd imagine it's comperable.

Carleton is OK, but the best computer science program in Canada would be
Waterloo. For Engineering it would be in the top three.
