Medical Genetics Notes (Course) on the Web!

Dear students and teachers,

I have just uploaded the fifth and last part of my self-learning
course in Genetics at
www.synapses.co.uk/genetics.
This section covers "Medical Genetics" and is based upon my lecture
notes (when I taught Genetics to medical students as I prepared them
for other medical courses and to pass licensing exams). Unlike the
earlier parts of the course, this is very "high density" information
and there is no "hand holding". It is really intended for medical
students - but it's a chance to review materials covered earlier while
introducing new materials and advanced ideas. Importantly, students
will see how genetics is applied in an area that affects us all -
medicine.

Notes 4 = Molecular Methods in Genetics
Notes 5 = Genome Mapping and Linkage
Notes 6 = Genetic Variation
Notes 7 = Population Genetics
Notes 8 = Single-Gene Inheritance
Notes 9 = Cytogenetic Abnormalities
Notes 10 = Multifactorial Inheritance
Notes 11 = The Biochemistry of Genetic Diseases
Notes 12 = Hemoglobinopathies
Notes 13 = Immunogenetics
Notes 14 = Cancer Genetics
Notes 15 = Treatment
Notes 16 = Counseling and Prenatal Diagnosis
I am still working on the exam (for Medical Genetics) and hope to
upload it before December but you can start preparing for it now.
