Well said morlyl,
Yes, I could write a dissertation and have it micro-fisched and
process... sure. But why? I'm not to sure on what it is you exactly
expect from people who purchase degrees. Are you aware of the fact that
most doctors do not write their own dissertations? Further, a
dissertation is required in a traditional school to earn a doctorate,
otherwise an ABD (All-But-Dissertation) candidate. They purchase their
dissertations from online "dissertation mills" for a stupendous amount
of money ($20 a page). This, as we all know, is truly and academically
illegal. Plus, that same doctor is probably your dentist right now!
Some doctors even get awarded their doctorates off mediocre masters
degrees. Truly, some doctors are as dumb as rocks. Besides, the
doctoral program is just rigorous research training, in other words, it
teaches post-graduates the art of not being lazy. Sure, anybody who has
a decent intelligence level can get off their duffy and research (in
depth) the birth of Ghandi. Do they want too? Probably not. Oh, and to
add, the doctoral program is not to necessarily gain knowledge... but
to apply it. The rest is focused on oral skills and presentation of
thesis. Period.
