Insight on the News - January 10, 2000

* Eighty percent of those responding said flag burning should not be allowed as a political statement, but only 51 percent favored a constitutional amendment to protect the American flag from desecration (Freedom Forum survey by the Center for Survey Research and Analysis at the University of Connecticut).

* Forty-eight percent of workers with college degrees fear violence in their places of employment, while only 32 percent of workers with no college education have that fear (Gallup Poll).

* Sixty-five percent of those surveyed believe that Earth would be conquered or annihilated in the event of invasion by extraterrestrials, whereas 26 percent believe that invaders would be defeated, regardless of their technological superiority (Dateline/USA cable-TV network viewer poll).

Ashworth is DETC accredited, but still some won't accept their Degrees. It's part of PCDI the distance learning company.
