Argosy University/Atlanta to Launch New Degree Completion Program in Psychology; Accelerated Bachelor of Arts Completion Program to be Offered at Nashville

PR Newswire - August 13, 2004

ATLANTA, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Argosy University/Atlanta is pleased to announce that it will begin offering a new Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Degree Completion Program starting on October 30 at the school's Nashville satellite location.

Classes will be offered in an accelerated format, including Saturday classes and online courses, which will allow busy adults to balance work and family life while completing their college degrees. Students can complete up to 49% of their coursework online.

"This program will offer Tennessee residents a unique opportunity to complete their college degrees," says Dr. Elizabeth Rider, director of undergraduate completion programs at Argosy University/Atlanta. "Our focus at Argosy University/Atlanta is on practitioner faculty, small classes, and hands-on learning. We look forward to helping Nashville residents fulfill their dream of completing the next step in their education."

In the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Degree Completion Program, individuals who have earned some college credit will follow a practical path to degree completion. Through previous college credit, experiential learning, and completion of a dynamic group of psychology core and elective courses, students can choose to prepare for immediate employment, career advancement or graduate study. The degree completion program in psychology will help prepare students for a wide variety of entry-level positions in human services, business, marriage/family therapy, and law enforcement.
