Arel/W2COM Wins Contract to Provide Interactive Distance Learning Services to Texas State Technical College

Arel Communications & Software Ltd. (NASDAQ:ARLC), the world's leading providers of end-to-end interactive distance learning systems, today announced that Arel/W2COM has been awarded a contract to provide interactive distance learning products and services to the Abilene, Texas campus of the Texas State Technical College (TSTC). The installation, is expected to be completed in September.
TSTC is a state-supported technical college system offering associate degrees and certificates in more than 40 emerging technology fields. In addition to the Abilene site, the College also has campuses in Waco, Sweetwater, Harlingen, Marshall, Brownwood and Breckinridge. Arel/W2COM will provide all of the design, installation, maintenance and training necessary to implement a distance learning environment for the TSTC's Abilene campus.
"For the past five years, we have been steadily adding to our distance learning capabilities, with videoconferencing being our primary means of educating from a distance," said Ken Woods, Director of Distance Learning for TSTC. "The new capabilities of the Abilene campus, provided by Arel/W2COM, will allow delivery of coursework to students that would otherwise be unavailable to them. These capabilities will allow the Abilene campus to provide concurrent enrollment and general technical education opportunities to local high school students."
