Electronic bonding
WEB SEMINARS on electronic bonding gateways and network management are free interactive sessions on key business and technical issues within the telecom industry. DSET Corp. is offering new gateway products for the CLEC community. The ezConnect solutions suite includes the ability to interconnect with the seven regional Number Portability Administration Centers (NPACs) that facilitate local number portability (LNP) in the U.S. and one NPAC in Canada. Anyone connected to the Internet can take part in these sessions from the location of his choice.
The duration of a Web seminar, such as the program on CLEC business process management, is typically between one and two hours, and it's far more convenient and cost efficient to allocate this amount of time to a seminar on the Web rather than traveling to a meeting. DSET's Web programs allow people virtually anywhere to share information, discuss problems, and explore solutions.--DSET Corp.

Distributed echo cancellation
GENTNER COMMUNICATIONS has changed echo cancellation forever. By placing an echo canceller and audio processor on every microphone input, Gentner's distributed echo cancellation (DEC) provides clear audio in a number of educational settings. Gentner utilizes DEC technology in its Audio Perfect 800 for distance learning in school environments. DEC improves the ease of installation, setup, and use of Audio Perfect 800. Prior to DEC, it would take 15-18 seconds for an echo canceller to adapt to the ambient noise level of the room before student interaction could take place. With the deployment of DEC, the adjustment time is reduced to 1.5 to 2 seconds. With an echo canceller on each mike, every audio aspect of distance learning is improved.--Gentner Communications Corp.

Re: Why do people use Degree Mills? (2 posts)

My questions are directed to Dr. John Bear. What is the difference (if
any) between a degree from SRU and a fake degree? Are there any schools
in the US that will accept an SRU degree for admission to a graduate
program? The advisor at SRU seems to be avoiding these questions.
