Gilat Communications, Ltd. Thursday announced that it has acquired the training specialty company John Bryce Training Ltd. (JBT). Founded in 1994 and based in Israel, the company specializes in IT training and is a certified training solutions provider for Oracle, Microsoft, Novell, CA, Cisco, Sylvan Prometrics, Sun AJC, Checkpoint and others. Gilat acquired one hundred percent of JBT in exchange for twelve percent of Gilat's outstanding shares.
The addition of John Bryce Training to Gilat Communications gives Gilat added strength in the field of content creation and delivery and will strengthen Gilat's ability to offer complete training solutions utilizing Gilat's proprietary technologies. In addition, JBT's client base and strategic partnerships complement those of Gilat, while its strong market presence in Israel and recurring revenue stream fit Gilat's corporate strategy and business plans.
John Bryce Training will operate as before and retain its current management team. The new, wholly-owned subsidiary will continue to supply ongoing training, seminars and system assimilation services to major corporations while expanding its marketing efforts in Europe and Israel. The ability to seamlessly offer advanced distance learning capabilities to its successful training programs will be beneficial to companies and multi-national corporations.
"The acquisition of John Bryce Training is another step towards unifying Gilat's technological strength with training expertise and courseware development to create a one-stop shop for training solutions" says Shlomo Tirosh, chairman and CEO of Gilat Communications. "By combining a leader in the growing field of IT training with leading distance training technologies and systems, we hope to offer a more complete and highly competitive level of services to our growing international client list."
"Becoming an integral part of Gilat Communications will enable us to capitalize on Gilat's leading edge technologies to further our penetration into European and other markets" says Ziv Mandl, joint managing director and co-founder of JBT. "The synergies of our successful course offerings with the interactive distance learning systems of Gilat will provide an excellent solution for many major and multinational corporations."
Gilat Communications, Ltd. ("Gilat") is a leading developer and provider of end-to-end interactive distance learning (IDL) solutions worldwide.
