A Nation of Learners. - sound recording reviews

Who will create the biggest fortunes of the next century? Those who help foment the revolution in education. The author of this audiotape, Dr. Douglas M. Brooks, says new technology will "dissolve" our disastrous system of public education. Millions of Americans will be seeking educational services from lessons in ABCs to job training.
One far-reaching new technology is the CD-ROM, a disk packed with text, sounds, and images that lets a student learn at his own pace - asking questions, probing, skipping ahead. Another is "distance learning," whereby he attends class hundreds of miles away via an interactive video network. Students can learn any subject from the world's best teachers. And you can join the entrepreneurs delivering the goods.
