COSTA MESA, Calif. -- WallStreet University Inc. (WSU), a developer and provider of on-line investor education courses, today announced that it has entered into a limited-exclusive-use marketing and development agreement with Coastline Community College District (District).
The agreement calls for the District to distribute WSU's courses via the Internet and/or CD-ROM to a network of more than 4,000 colleges and universities across the Country. WSU will collaborate on developing additional courses and will receive a significant share of the licensing and sales revenue generated by Coastline.
"WallStreet University's experience in investor education meets the increasing market demand for a highly educated investing public," said Dan Jones, Administrative Dean at Coast Learning Systems, Costa Mesa, Calif. "WSU's selection of the District as its distributor was based on our national presence, educational expertise and focus on providing superior courses to our students."
The initial course covered by the agreement, entitled Understanding Analysts' Ratings, was originally written, designed, and developed by WSU as part of a series of CD-ROM-based instructional courses offered as non-credit continuing education courses in an Internet-based distance learning format. This format lends itself to the District's marketing and distribution network and technical and educational resources.
"This Agreement is important to us from two standpoints," said William Nordstrom, WSU CEO. "In addition to significant distribution on a national basis, the approval of our course design by Coastline Community College demonstrates that our courses meet the academic standards for adult higher education - a claim that cannot be made by most of our competitors."
